It is green and is pretty, but what is it really? What is its purpose?

I may be completely off but it reminds me of something close to a "Murano" glass but obviously either from a obscure period or maybe a company that was less Talented?

Personally, I prefer Art Nouveau, Art Deco, French Empire and maybe a bit of Mid-Century Modern. But, as a Multi Media Artist, Interior Designer / Architect and Severely Distorted person with the Absolute Worst Case of "Adult Attention Disorder and Hyperactivity with a little bit of O.C.D. mixed in, I always have at least 55 different ongoing Projects but only one is finished!

      So, never a Dull moment!

    Thank You Kindly,

Are we able to obtain pictures of the lid underside and the state of the glass cavity? From what appears to be the possible thickness of the glass, I suspect it may be borosilicate "soft glass" rather than "hard glass." I'd be very interested to see what it looks like on the inside, whether there is any sort of cork or rubber sealing material under the lid, and whether there's a latch on the "front" of the item opposite the hinge.
